Terms and conditions
These terms govern the use of tappi, a service that lets businesses offer digital loyalty cards to their customers. By creating an account, the business accepts these terms. This is a translation of the Spanish version; if the two differ, the Spanish version prevails.
1. The service
tappi lets a business design a stamp card, register customers, add stamps and redeem rewards, issue the card for Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, and send notifications to those who saved it. The features available depend on the plan.
2. Business account
- The business is responsible for the accuracy of its information and for keeping its login credentials safe.
- The owner decides who to invite as staff and is responsible for what those people do in the dashboard.
- An account may not be used for illegal activities or to send misleading or unsolicited messages.
3. Free trial, plans and payments
- Every new business gets a free trial period, with no payment method required.
- When the trial ends, a plan is required to keep operating. Without one the dashboard is locked, but customer data and cards are not deleted.
- Plans are billed monthly, in advance and in Argentine pesos, through Mercado Pago. Current prices are shown in the dashboard.
- The business may change plans or cancel the subscription at any time. Cancelling stops future charges; periods already paid are not refunded.
- If a charge fails, tappi may suspend access to the dashboard until it is settled.
4. Data of the business’s customers
The data of end customers (name, mobile number, email, birthday and card activity) belongs to the business, which is the data controller. tappi stores and processes it on behalf of the business, solely to provide the service. The business agrees to obtain its customers’ consent and to use the data and the notifications lawfully. Details are in the privacy policy.
5. Wallets and third-party services
Cards in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, and their notifications, depend on services run by Apple and Google, which have their own terms and limits (for example, the number of notifications per day). tappi does not guarantee that every notification is displayed on the customer’s phone.
6. Availability and changes
tappi works to keep the service continuously available, but there may be interruptions due to maintenance or third-party failures. Features may change; significant changes to these terms or to prices are announced in advance.
7. Liability
The business is responsible for the rewards and promotions it offers its customers. To the extent permitted by law, tappi’s liability is limited to the amount paid by the business in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
8. Termination
The business may stop using tappi at any time and request the export or deletion of its data. tappi may close accounts that breach these terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic. Any dispute will be settled by the competent ordinary courts.
